A huge thank to @valerius_cincinatus for his exquisite hands and prehistoric camera Sinar f2 (pic. 5) Alimentation. I was looking for a material that could bring together something very recognisable from the London landscape (exсept knives) with the way I was thinking about plant living things. Black drainpipes felt almost inevitable. They are everywhere in London and usually unnoticed. Placed in the garden and stretched across the landscape, they begin to take on another life. They suggest roots, veins, branches, or some kind of artificial organism, creating a connection between the built environment and the living systems around it. The installation is deliberately quiet and contemplative. There is no fixed image or single point of focus. Instead, the pipes slowly reveal relationships between water, plants, soil, architecture and the garden itself. I wanted the work to create a space where you can simply look, notice, and perhaps start to see these familiar materials differently. #contemporary #contemporaryart #art #installation

100m of drainpipes. Alimentation. Nourishment is a way of existing. Everything alive exists because something is constantly passing through it. This made me think about life not as something that belongs to individual living beings, but as a continuous exchange between bodies, materials and environments. Life happens in the movement between things. Nothing has entered this world. It was always here. Bodies, materials and environments constantly entering one another, feeding one another, changing one another.
