Alimentation is a site-specific installation in a private London garden, composed of 100 metres of black plastic drainage pipes extending through the space and weaving among its existing vegetation.

Commonly seen on the exterior walls of London buildings, these pipes make visible the systems of circulation usually concealed within architecture. Transplanted into the garden, they began to resemble roots, veins, or an artificial organism, blurring the boundaries between urban infrastructure and plant life.

The installation considered nourishment as a continuous process of exchange between bodies, materials, and their environments. Rather than opposing the natural and the artificial, Alimentation approached them as deeply entangled systems, connected through the movement of water, matter, and energy. The garden became a space in which infrastructure and vegetation appeared to participate in the same network of relationships, challenging the idea of nature as something separate from the built world.
